Condo developers offer spa services catered specifically to male residents.

Times are changing and as we approach 2018, developers are increasingly creating on-site spa experiences that cater to male residents, just as much as their female counterparts. For discerning luxury buyers looking to decompress, there has rarely been a shortage of projects with full-service spas that give neighboring hotels a run for their money. However, these two Miami projects feature a unique take on resident wellness:

REGALIA

This ultra-luxury condo tower recently listed its stunning penthouse unit with Chad Carroll of The Carroll Group of Douglas Elliman. Carroll often refers to the unit’s master bath and spa as “king-worthy.” Commanding 1,500 square feet, this haven for relaxation features a hydrotherapy jacuzzi tub that overlooks the Atlantic Ocean, a steam room and sauna.
Everyone knows that boys love their toys, and this smart-home allows all amenities to be controlled remotely or even programmed to adapt to the residents behavior.

1010 BRICKELL

At this residence, men can venture to the co-ed hammam Turkish steam bath that features hot and cold plunge pools, a steam and sauna. Key International’s recently-completed residence also offers aromatherapy rooms, which are designed to improve lung function and eliminate toxins.
For the fitness buff, muscular therapy treatments are available to speed up post-workout recovery, or for a more curated approach to wellness, personal training and health-conscious private chefs are also available.

The Harbour

Also developed by Key International, this residence’s indoor-outdoor spa seamlessly blends nature and leisure. Male residents seeking a “woodsy” spa experience, can opt for a massage treatment in one of the outdoor cabanas, set with a view of waves crashing and sounds of birds chirping. Using essential oils infused with the restorative elements found at the project’s on-site aromatherapy trail, like lavender, eucalyptus and chamomile, stress melts away leaving a rejuvenated sense of body and mind.

Within the last decade, yoga — used both to stay fit and alleviate stress — has become a popular practice among individuals of all ages.

To gain maximum exercise benefits from their home pool and spa complexes, homeowners are seeking out powerful swim training systems.

Luxury swimming pool design and build company Aqua Platinum has began to research this trend’s growth.
“There’s been a huge increase in demand for counter current swimming technology in the past few months, as more and more people come to recognise the health benefits of these systems,” says Dominic Searle, the business development manager at Aqua Platinum.
Ideal for swimmers who want to build up their core strength and endurance, swimming training systems create powerful currents within pools, plus they can be installed in pools of almost any size.
By swimming against the current, individuals can benefit from an enhanced workout that is incredibly low-impact on the joints. Counter current swimming also speeds up the metabolism and elongates the muscles.
Celebrities including Natalie Portman, Julia Roberts and Jennifer Aniston swear by swimming when it comes to keeping their A-list bodies in shape.
“It’s not just celebrities who can achieving amazing muscle tone and overall fitness levels as a result of swimming,” says Searle. “Counter current systems mean that anyone can instantly improve the health benefits of their swimming pool, turning what is already a great form of exercise into something even more effective and enjoyable.”
Most of those with high-end pools tend to opt for swim training systems like the JetStream TriVa, which looks beautifully sleek and stylish. The system suits a wide range of swimming abilities and levels, from beginner to professional level training.

At Newlands Manor in Dorset, the counter current training system is suitable for athletic level swim training.

The JetStream TriVa appeals to a range of swimming abilities.
