Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas, August 19, 2020 — Located in the sought-after rural city of Anna, Texas, Bodark Acres offers a wonderful relaxed quality of life, just north of neighboring McKinney and minutes from the bustling Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and downtown. This ideal escape from city life provides a little something for everyone with its abundant private acreage, security, and master craftsmanship architecture. Supreme Auctions will offer this custom luxury estate at a no-reserve auction on September 19, in cooperation with Lori Vaden of Compass.

“Poised for growth, Anna, Texas is just two miles west of Celina, and McKinney 20 minutes south, which makes Bodark Acres one of the best kept secrets in Collin County in terms of locale. Also neighboring Anna is Frisco, Texas… home to both the Dallas Cowboys and PGA headquarters, as well as numerous sporting arenas and teams, including soccer, baseball, NFL, and hockey.” stated Jennie Heal, President of Supreme Auctions. “Being within reach of the DFW metroplex, which is known as being the economic and cultural hub of the North Texas area, it is the ideal location for discerning homeowners who seek a more intimate place to call home.”

Providing a true personal haven, Bodark Acres spectacularly demonstrates a private and relaxing country-side lifestyle of affluence and refinement with its five-bedroom, four full bathroom main residence that comes complete with its own resort-style patio area with heated pool, spa, and covered cedar cabana terrace. The estate is comprised of two adjacent parcels and is completed with a secondary guest house residence, sheds, workshop, and of course, an abundance of acreage and open space to call your own.

“This home offers a spectacular setting and attention to detail at every turn,” stated Compass listing agent, Lori Vaden. “The seller clearly put extensive thought into every decision and design feature. Even upon the initial drive up to the property, you can feel your body decompress. It is tucked away, yet near a major highway, for the ideal commute conditions. The history of the property, the trees, the setting, and the privacy are the first features to grab your attention. You can tell this magnificent property is different the second you pass through its gated entrance. There is a massive Bois D’Arc tree that is said to be one of the oldest in the state. The home is impeccably maintained inside and out and a buyer can easily envision a life here.”

Bodark Acres will enthrall you with its majesty and draw you to a location that will fulfill your need for community savoir-faire. Culture, shopping, dining, business and legendary sporting teams are just a small taste of the lifestyle that the Dallas-Fort Worth area offers to its visitors and residents. This shows great loyalty, love and stability in the neighborhood. I will be sad to leave; however, it is time for me to move on to the next chapter of my life.”

“Originally designed and built in 1891 for Charles Valette Kasson by the famed architects, the Pond & Pond Brothers, this home has been upkept with the greatest of care,” stated Jennie Heal, President of Supreme Auctions. “In addition to the historical prestige, Astor Terrace is located in one of Chicago’s most renowned treasured residential communities. Astor Terrace is the epitome of brilliance and majesty for the affluent individual in search of privacy and comfort. Astor Terrace has an excellent location within the northern suburbs of Chicago to take in all the splendor that surrounds you. Lincoln Park is conveniently located at the north end of the street from this home, which provides easy access to outstanding public and private schools, all the while being one of the most coveted blocks in the city. The charming Astor Street district was designated as a Chicago landmark in 1975 and is ideal for a leisurely stroll under the tree canopied street. Additionally, some of the city’s best retail establishments and restaurants are all within walking distance.

“The house has been meticulously cared for by the same family for over 62 years, and the sense of pride in ownership definitely shows,” stated Alex Wolking, listing agent. “It’s almost like a suburban home in the city. The garden is truly a one-of-a-kind space, especially in Chicago, where private outdoor space is unheard of.”

Walnut Place, one of Dallas’ finest and largest estates, is going to auction with no reserve bidding opening on Dec. 19.

More sellers of luxury properties are taking the auction route to market and sell their properties. There are a number of reasons that it makes sense, especially when buyers shopping at the top level of the market are so few. Auctions get wider attention and the larger auction houses understand the value of advertising globally to reach the major wealth centers rather than restricting themselves just to the U.S. Another reason is the uniqueness of most high-end real estate of which there are few comparables for establishing a fair market price which the bidding process helps to establish that level.

Some of the most notable home auctions have been the elegant Gianni Versace Mansion on South Beach in Miami Beach, Florida in 2013 which sold at $41.5 million to the Jordache Jeans family and the Virginia Klug Winery, which Donald Trump purchased for $6.2 million at a foreclosure auction in 2011. Trump was also the second highest bidder on the Versace Mansion. Another luxury auction is on the horizon when Dallas’ Walnut Place begins the bidding process on December 19.

In the Mayflower Estates section of Preston Hollow, Walnut Place is one of the most architecturally significant estates in the southern U.S., designed in 1938 by world-renowned architect Maurice Fatio. The Swiss-born Fatio was well known for his projects in New York and Florida where he designed over 200 homes, many built in Palm Beach for the super rich including Harold Vanderbilt, Marjorie Merriweather Post and E.F. Hutton…
