The Residences at Gurney’s, a collection of oceanfront homes adjacent to Gurney’s Montauk, has added 6 new oceanfront homes this year. This is in addition to the 12 homes that were unveiled last summer.
The Residences offer a dramatic proximity to the ocean that can not be found anywhere else. The Residences offer a scarce commodity as well — homes may never again be built this close to the ocean due to zoning laws.
The Point of View building, a nearly circular building with 360 degree views of the beach, offers both one- and two- bedroom homes starting at $2.2 million. At Point of View, owners have the option of putting their unit into the Gurney’s Montauk resort rentals, meaning hotel guests can book stays in the private residences and owners receive 60 percent of rates charged.
In addition to the new Point of View Residences, less than half of the units that went for sale last summer are still available for sale, including Salt Sea and Hilltop Residences. The Residences were designed by PETERMAX, whose coastal chic interiors have been well-received in both the Gurney’s hotel rooms and Residences.
