Passionate, dedicated, dynamic, hardworking and imaginative, Gloria Kurz, the founder and principal of Mansions & Manors entered the Rhode Island market in 1995, after a real estate career in Greenwich, Connecticut. With 30 years of real estate experience, she is a licensed Real Estate Broker in Rhode Island, a member of the National Association of Realtors, the Rhode Island Association of Realtors, the Newport County Board of Realtors and was formerly a member of the Eastern Connecticut Association of Realtors. She has a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) Degree and is a former member of the American Bar Association and the State Bar of California.
Prior to commencing her real estate career, Gloria had a multi-disciplinary professional path that included administrative management with CETA Title 1 programs in Orange County, California; experience as a Deputy District Attorney in Stanislaus County (Modesto), California and, as a litigation associate with the law firm of Burns Jackson Miller Summit & Jacoby on Park Avenue in New York. She was also involved in marketing and consulting in the cosmetic, fragrance and fashion industry, with corporate marketing experience at Avon International and as a principal at Wilmot Enterprises.
A consistent multi-million dollar producer, Gloria is a seasoned negotiator in luxury and super-luxury real estate. Known for her communication skills, Gloria is the publisher of the newsletter, "Real Estate Views" , the first real estate newlsletter published in Jamestown. She founded the firm's "Care and Share" program that contributes to local non-profit organizations.
Gloria's husband, Rick, now serves as the President of the Board of the Low Country Master Naturalist Association in Beaufort, South Carolina. He was formerly on the Board of the Beaufort Performing Arts Center and retired from the Board of Directors for Cakebread Cellars, a prestigious Napa Valley winery. He was formerly Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Strategic Growth Officer for IRI in Chicago, Ill. and Advo Inc. in Windsor Ct., Previously, he was a senior consultant with Marketing Corporation of America in Westport, CT after successul careers at Norton Simon, Gallo, International Paper Company and Scott Paper Company
