#13 Rock Haven. Located in the Central Sierras, Rock Haven is an exclusive gated community and ownership here is owning a piece of California and Shaver Lake history. Rock Haven is one of California’s oldest corporations and was created by the efforts of Mrs. C.B. Shaver and her friends in 1921. There are 16 share holders and many of the families have been here for generations. The annual property tax is paid by the association and this cabin’s share is approximately $2,600/year and can not increase more than 2% per year.
